FMT-400-Ethernet Module

- Provides the FMT-400 with an Ethernet Fieldbus connection - Introduction The 400-ETHERNET module provides the FMT-400 system with means to communicate with remote equipment over a Ethernet network. For instance the FMT-400 could be a remote node in a SCADA network communicating over a Ethernet network. A maximum of one 400-ETHERNET module is supported by the 400-CPU-B, and a maximum of four 400-ETHERNET modules are supported by the 400-CPU-C. The 400-ETHERNET module must be used in the main rack of the FMT-400 system. Programming and setup is done in FLEX; the 400-ETHERNET modules are assigned to the required rack in the PROJECT CONFIGURATION menu box when all the modules within each rack can be assigned. A RJ45 connector is used on the 400-ETHERNET modules for connection to remote systems. The IP address is set on the front of the modules via DIP switched; this allows the user to assign a unique IP address to each modules to allow direct communicatons between systems.
