- FMT-DS/C Introduction: The FMT-DS/C data splitter is an interface device which allows computers, PLCs and peripherals to share data. The FMT-DS/C has three serial interfaces, two are RS232 and one is RS485. Note that the RS485 interface has provision for tri-stating the transmitter. The RS485 transmitter will be enabled whenever data is received on either of the RS232 ports. The transmitter will remain enabled for approximately 7mS after the last character is sent. No RS232 handshaking lines are required. See Datasheet [94KB]
