Magis Aida stacking armchair with a cantilever frame in chromed steel rod. The Magis Aida Armchair is available with a yellow or red coloured injection moulded polypropylene shell as standard. Designed by Richard Sapper in 2000, the AIDA chair combines technical innovation with a rigorous form. The Aida stacking armchair was developed over an extremely lengthy timescale - in pursuit of perfection and rigour - a hallmark of Richard Sapper's work. Born in Germany, but inextricably tied to Milan and Italian design culture. Sapper has worked with all the main designers and many major Italian and international companies (he once acted as a design consultant for IBM). His products can be found in permanent collections of the most important museums all around the world. Richard Sapper has been awarded the Compasso d'Oro many times for his products. In 2014 he received the Compasso d'Oro lifetime achievement award. A special fire retardant version of the chair with a light grey coloured seat is available in the colour options above.
