Officina Alessi Bombé Oval Tray was designed by Carlo Alessi in 1945, who designed many of the famous Alessi collections, such as Scalini and Cilindrica. This highly polished 18/10 stainless steel tray with mirrored finish features a bakelite or applewood handle and knob. Other products designed by Carlo Alessi for the Bombé collection include a milk jug, sugar bowl, coffee pot and teapot. Alessandro Mendini describes the Bombé collection as a product of the postwar socio-cultural climate which holds specific resemblance to the phenomenon of the design and customs that are associated with the first age of Italian design.
