It is made of RJC-COC certified 18ct gold, including the inside mechanism which is unique in the market of premium earring backs. The Smartlock earring safety system has been developed by Cookson-CLAL, utilising over 200 years of French design excellence and know-how. Created for high quality jewellery, the unique system is assembled to the highest standards. It offers advanced features to be smart, beautifully crafted, and provide a reassuringly sturdy grip to hold each earring firmly in place. The smooth rounded lines of Smartlock are designed to enhance the look of high-end jewellery, to combine elegance and comfort for the wearer. The Smartlock has a smooth grip and the two cambered sides means the fitting is reversible, providing extra comfort. The Smartlock features Nivaflex springs, which are made from high quality stainless steel. They are non-magnetic and therefore will not interfere with anything in medical, watchmaking and dental settings. They are also sea water and sweat resistant, making the earring backs suitable to wear in all environments. The feature of a semi polished blank side is perfect for custom engraving. The Smartlock is stamped 750 on its other side, and also features a `Made In France` stamp and the manufacturers stamp. Measures 7mm (W) x 10mm (L). The post is 1mm in thickness.
