Apply accents of pure gold to your fine silver, sterling silver, or silver clay designs. Accent Gold for Silver is useable on both fired and unfired PMC and Art Clay, as well as fine and sterling silver. It is an easy, affordable way to add 24ct gold accents to your jewellery designs. The bottle contains 1g of 24ct gold powder, dispersed in non-toxic water based binder. This is then mixed with water and glycerine to form smooth paint, which can be applied to your jewellery items using a paintbrush, clay shaper or any other tool, before allowing to dry and then firing. During the firing process, Accent Gold for Silver will fuse to your design, leaving an embellishment layer of 24ct gold. Apply in one or two even coats, and allow to dry completely between coats and before firing. Accent Gold for Silver will not fuse properly if not completely dry. The gold layer should be even and fully opaque, but not overly thick (about as thick as 2 sheets of paper is ideal). Different metals and surfaces will require different preparation methods, as will fired and unfired metal clay designs. Most fired surfaces will require a satin finish or pickling to a bright white.
