This Multi Shaped Disc Cutter set is a fast and efficient way of producing perfectly formed, artisan discs suitable for all levels of skill. The cutting edges have a 7 degree angle, enabling it to cut through metal like scissors. Made from tempered, high carbon tool steel this set contains 9 multi shaped disc cutters: Marquise (6x12mm) Puppy (10x15mm) Octagon (11mm) Butterfly (11x14mm) Bird (10x16mm) Fancy Heart No.1 (7x15mm), Fancy Heart No.2 (13x16mm) Tear Drop (11x15mm) Cross (10.5mmx15mm) The cutting end of each punch has been manufactured with a slight angle to ensure a smooth and reliable shearing action. This set is suitable to use with soft metals (gold, silver, copper, aluminium) up to 18 gauge thick (1mm). To use this multi shaped premium disc cutter: simply place your metal under the chosen die and strike firmly with a hammer (997 3134). Thicker gauges may require more than one strike. The shaped disc will come out of the bottom of the tool, ready for you to use. Due to the nature of the process, burring can occur - simply use emery paper to sand flush. When not in use store away in the provided wooden case and to keep this tool in top condition, we would advise to use a lubricant to avoid tarnish.
