Introduced to complement our existing range of Artisan doming punches, this round and oval combo set is a fantastic addition to any workbench. Made from quality steel, this petite set features 1 dapping block with half round and oval indents, 8 doming punches and 1 oval punch. This set is ideal to use with soft metals such as; gold, silver, copper, brass and aluminium and for added convenience it is provided with a solid wooden stand with each dedicated punch hole clearly marked so you know exactly where that punch came from. This set includes: 8 x Doming punches in 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24mm 1 x Oval punch 1 x Doming block (165mm x 50.8mm x 25.4mm) 1 x Wooden stand (220mm x 118mm) To use the block and punches; place your annealed blank or sheet of metal over the largest section to start, then using the matching punch strike with good force, repeat a few times. You`ll need to anneal after a few strikes and work down the sizes until you reach your desired size. We would advise when striking to place the block onto a mat to defuse the noise and vibration (997 1649). To ensure a longer working-life and prevent this set from rusting we would advise to use a lubricant.
