This round profile, high quality steel burr from Busch has a diameter of 1.70mm, and is ideal for shaping, texturing or for creating settings. Busch burrs are constructed from a number of steel teeth forming a shape, which is mounted onto a standard 3/32" shank. They are used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill or micromotor to cut, grind away, shape or give pattern or texture to a surface (usually metal). The amount of pressure applied to the surface with the burr affects the amount of material cut or ground away during use. This burr has a round, or ball shaped, profile and is Busch profile reference number 1. Use of a cutting lubricant such as Burr Life (998 021) helps prolong the life of the burr and reduce chatter.
