This high quality steel burr from Busch has a bearing cutter (Hart) profile measuring 1.70mm diameter at the widest point. Burrs are used in conjunction with a pendant drill, hobby drill or micromotor in order to cut or grind away, shape or give pattern to a surface (usually metal). This burr has a total length of 0.99mm and each side edge of the bearing cutter cuts to a 90 degree angle. Bearing cutter burrs are used for cutting seats in prongs and for channel and flush settings. They may also be used for scoring or cutting lines. To prolong the life of a burr and reduce chatter, a lubricant such as Burr Life Cut Lube (998 021) can be used.
