Made from steel, the working part of the drill bit is coated in tiny diamond pieces for a high quality drill hole in more challenging, hard materials such as glass and stone. The drill bit should be used intermittently with light pressure rather than a single, high pressure action. Using cooling liquid such as drilling oil will improve tool life. Using this drill bit in a bench drill, rather than a pendant motor or flex shaft, will reduce the risk of breakage when drilling gems or stones. This drill bit has a standard 2.35mm shank.
