This high quality steel grain tool from Busch has a diameter of 0.50mm, and is perfect for grain setting and rounding prongs. The new Busch precision beading tools feature a high gloss concave tip for precise grain work. They are used primarily in grain setting techniques to form a rounded bead from a pre-raised grain of metal on a jewellery item, and to push this bead gently over the edge of a stone. Grain tools can also be used to round the ends of claws on claw settings. This grain tool is Busch profile reference number 05, and has a predetermined point at which it can be shortened with pliers, if closer control is required. Other sizes are available.
