Citrine is a variety of quartz, easily identifiable by its yellow to orange colours, caused by the presence of iron in the quartz. Citrine has generally been known as the crystal of wealth and abundance, known for enhancing concentration and strengthening the intellect. This octagonal faceted citrine stone measures 7mm x 5mm. Citrine has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 2.65. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each stone is unique so colours will vary and slight natural inclusions and zoning may be present. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place citrine stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Citrine can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. It is advised to avoid exposing citrine to prolonged periods of heat and light. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these citrines are sold individually.
