As well as being able to stretch and reduce rings, this essential piece of introductory equipment also includes a built in ring bending jig with a single, flat die for forming and shaping, perfect for those just starting out. With an improved fit and finish, this machine features; a 6 spline marked (US 1-15) graduated stretching mandrel which expands on the down stroke of the handle. The 6 spline mandrel has a gentler stretching action compared to a 4 spline, putting less strain on the ring (not suitable for stone set bands). The double sided reducing plate is finished to a high standard, reducing the appearance of marring. It allows you to slightly compress narrow sized, domed shaped bands (D-Shape & Court bands only) to the desired size. The plate includes various sized holes with differing sloped hollows depending on the ring you`re reducing. Another added benefit to this brilliant machine is the 4 step bending mandrel that allows you to re-shape rings or bend sheet and wire. The mandrel measures approximately 50mm long and 18.4mm, 15.8mm, 13.8mm, 11.9mm diameter. Each section has a working length of approx. 10mm. This machine measures 470mm tall x 180mm x 120m and includes 4 mounting holes for securing to your workbench (mounting hardware not included). Please note - this machine is to be used with non-ferrous metals only (gold, silver platinum and palladium) not for use with steel bands. It is recommended to use with annealed rings and ensure not to over stretch as this will cause the metal to crack. Suitable for stretching rings that have a maximum width of 12mm, up to approx. Z+3 finger size. For reducing the various diameter countersunk holes can work on rings up to 4mm thick and 12mm wide.
