This precision formed hinge tube has been designed to improve the process of wax carving making it easier and quicker for you to create hinges, clasps, settings and other unique design elements and because they are pre-fabricated ready to use they will also reduce waste, compared to traditional wax blocks. Made from Blue wax (standard) it offers good hand carvability, excellent flexibility and has a hardness (Shore D) of 52, making it perfect for creating extremely thin wall depths and intricate carvings. This specially designed wax is supplied in 6 x 5" lengths (127mm) and measures 2.5mm diameter with a 1.0mm hole (1.5mm wall depth).
