The JoolTool 3M Scotch-Brite abrasive disc is to be used for fine grade surface preparation when using the JoolTool polishing system. Also known as 3M Scotch-Brite EXL, this 3" abrasive wheel will not remove material but burnish and blend scratches on precious metals. Ideal for the second step of cleaning up after using the medium Scotch-Brite Eraser (998 J019) and will achieve a smooth finish on on solder joins, raw castings, metal clay, plastics, composites and acrylics. Made from silicon carbide this web-like structure will resist clogging, ensuring a long life and minimise heat build up when polishing. Unlike traditional polishing wheels, the slotted discs become transparent when spinning offering you full view of your piece when grinding and polishing. To achieve a high finish it is advised to follow up with extra fine grade (998 J020) then move onto the SEE-THRU felt wheel (998 J017) with high lustre polishing compound (998 J025).
