Labrodorite is a variety from the Feldspar family, easily identifiable by its iridescent labradoresence. With peacock blues, greens and golden yellow flashes, labradorite varies from translucent to transparent with its many internal fractures creating the beautiful play of colours. Labradorite has generally been known as the stone of magic and transformation and is excellent for protecting and balancing through changes. This round labradorite cabochon measures 6mm. Labradorite has a hardness of 6 - 6.5 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 2.68 - 2.72. Please note that due to the nature of the stone, each cabochon is unique so iridescence, colour patterns and banding will vary. Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place labradorite stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Labradorite can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth. It is advised to avoid exposing labradorite to prolonged periods of heat and light. A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these labradorite are sold individually.
