Made from metal and used for the general support of pearls while drilling or fitting. The clamp comprises of 2 plates hinged at one side. In each plate are varying sized holes - these mirror each other top and bottom. Through the centre is a threaded rod, at each end of which are adjustment screws - these enable the plates to be tightened or loosened accord- ingly. To operate: Place the pearl between the appropriate size holes and tighten the plates around the pearl by turning the screws. Access to the pearl`s surface is through the hole in plates top and bottom. Unscrew to release!
