The jaws open vertically, the vice will prevent your forming tools from moving when under duress, compared to traditional horizontal vices. Made from heavy duty steel, this vice features 3 grooves that run up and across the jaws which have been designed to enhance grip performance. Ideal for clamping forming tools such as; ring forming die set (999 6829), sinusoidal stakes, bangle mandrels, ring mandrels and smaller wire wrap mandrels. Secure to your work bench using either the integrated C-clamp or bolt directly to your work top using the four drilled holes (hardware not included). The jaws open to a maximum of 50mm and have a width capacity of 35mm, Suitable for work benches that are no thicker than 50mm.
