Ninety Degree - Heavy Duty Heads

Our large range of heavy duty, Ninety degree heads are able to accept either 40 or 50 taper toolholders. capable or milling, drilling and tapping and with through tool coolant available as an option, this range is very popular on larger gantry machines, bed mills and horizontal borers. Able to give additional capabilities to set ups where rotating large components is either not possible, very difficult or time consuming, machining times can be greatly reduced. Heads are normally Cowl mounted directly to the front of the spindle with the possibility for multiple location points for quick and easy head indexing and with optional table mounted storage cradles where toolchange is not possible. RAM400-40-ST-CWL The steel bodied unit with milling capability but with the flexibility of interchangeable tooling adaptors to facilitate the location of drills, taps, end mills, shell mills etc. The Tooling is held in position with a manual drawbar and accurately located on an ISO 40 Taper (CAT/DIN/BT/ISO tooling can be used). The RAM 400-40-ST is designed for direct mounting to machine spindle nose via a dedicated cowl assembly for optimum rigidity. Radial timing is achieved via a Location Pin and the head has full 360° manual rotation adjustability.
