The Megger S1-1568 15 kV insulation resistance tester has been designed, specified and tested to meet the stringent requirements of power utilities in the 21st century. In addition to being tough, high performance insulation testers the S1-1568 Megger offers the ability to perform accurate insulation resistance measurements in extreme, high noise environments, rapid charging of cable capacitance, and even remote operation for both convenience and safety.
The Megger S1-1568 test set combines class-leading noise rejection of 8 mA - twice that of most comparable instruments - with user selectable software filtering and the ability to make accurate and dependable measurements up to 35 TΩ.
A valuable additional feature of the S1-1568 is provision for remote control via a fully isolated USB port. This, together with provision for internal storage of date- and time-stamped results, makes the instruments well suited for use in production environments. Stored results can be recalled to the display, downloaded via a Bluetooth wireless link or accessed via the USB port.

The Tester meets EN 61557 Parts 1 and 2; and EN 61010-1, CAT IV 600 V Pollution Degree 2 standards. CAT IV equipment is designed to protect against transients from the primary supply level, such as an electricity meter or an overhead or underground utility service.
