Metrix MX 604 Surge Arrester Tester

Specially designed for the Telecommunications market, the Metrix MX 604* tests lightning arresters (dismantled or in situ) and verifies insulation (measurement of telephone line insulation resistance). Versatile and complete, the MX 604 comes in a case equipped with all its accessories. *The Metrix MX 604 is also known as the Chauvin MX 604 (see bottom of page for details). Surge arrester tester Whether the surge arresters are dismantled or on site, the MX 604 enables you to test them easily and quickly without any risk, between 0 and 600 V DC. A "support" module connects to the instrument and allows the dismantled surge arresters to be inserted for the tests to be carried out. On site, the surge arresters can be tested by means of a probe equipped with a remote control button, a lead with a test probe and possibly a surge arrester support clamp. Megohmmeter The MX 604 enables the insulation resistance of telephone lines, e.g. between the subscriber and the secondary distribution frame, to be measured. Thanks to a logarithmic scale, the result of the measurement can be read directly and without any change of range. Because the measurements must be carried out on an installation which is switched off, a voltage presence indicator light is available on the dial to ensure the user's safety and ensure that the measurements are perfectly accurate.
