There are two parts to the Cygnus inspection hatch cover testing kit – the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter has 6 selectable pre-set power levels that enables it to be used in confined spaces when placed inside inspection hatches. Then there is the powerful receiver, that is used outside of the inspection hatch to detect any sound energy that passes through gaps of the enclosed cargo hold.
