Description D&E Argenta Magnetic Mortise Locks - Mortise locks for internal doors The latch on the Argenta magnetic locks works on the basis of magnetism. When the door is closed, the latch is pulled into the striking plate (lock keep) by means of a magnet. These mortise locks are characterised by their minimalistic shape, do not have a protruding latch, stylish matt chrome forend and do not have a strike plate with a visible lip. This means that you won't have a scratched strike plate or damage to the side jamb of the door frame. These magnetic locks by Argenta are used in perfect harmony with the pure aesthetic quality of the argenta invisidoor - invisible aluminium frame system for interior doors, and can also be used with standard interior doors.
