Description The D&E Dictator Range Of Door Dampers The D&E door checks grab the door as it nears the closed position. The built in damper stops the door from slamming and draws the door shut in a firm and quiet motion. This operation is much quieter than that of most conventional overhead door closer, which tend to slam the door shut in the last few inches of closing. Given the reduction of noise, the D&E Dictator is ideal for use in hotels, hospitals, dormitories etc... The D&E Dictator provides a positive closing / holding force when the door is in the closed position. This makes it a must where wind pressure changes can cause the door to open or not close properly. Note: For this item to function properly a door closer of some fashion must be installed on the door to provide the initial closing of the door.
