The security lip is to prevent the slave door / gate opening first. There are 3 models available: A - Screw fixed B - Welded open  C - Welded Closed Available lengths: 300mm 500mm The 300mm & 500mm models have an extra threaded hole so that you can move the knob to extend the throw on the bolt.
