Data Acquisition Systems
Product Code: DT100
Our DT100 system comprises powerful and flexible autonomous networked data acquisition systems for either Industrial PC or CompactPCI platforms. The DT100 system is based on a standard x86 compatible system running Linux and is designed to operate in a networked environment over a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet Link. Software control and data handling is done over standard TCP-IP sockets making the data available to any authorised computer on the same network. The data server running on the DT100 system allows multiple concurrent connections allowing sophisticated management features to be built into client applications like having multiple monitoring clients in addition to a control client. Dynamic web pages allow easy access to machine status from any connected web browser.
With the use of standard PC components the DT100 can be configured with a customer specified arrangement of memory, Hard Disk, Floppy Disk, CDROM and any specific networking requirement. In addition to this D-TACQ has developed a diskless implementation allowing the DT100 to operate in rugged environments.
D-TACQ provides reference client applications for allow Windows environments and the Linux operating system to control the DT100 System. A turnkey remote client application is available to allow comprehensive testing. This is a pure Java application, and has been tested to run on all of Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.
Uniquely, the new 2G cards are equally at home working in conventional peripheral mode, under the control of a Host computer, or as individual networked nodes, where most of the functionality of a DT100 chassis is now available on a single card. This has advantages both in small systems, where we lose the overhead of the Host computer, and in large systems, where we take advantage of the scaleability of standard ethernet networking.
D-TACQ recognises that there is a need for a range of customer specific requirements for communication and has built this into the software architecture. This means that both additional physical and software protocols can be added; allowing customer requirements to be met with minimum development using industry standard adaptor cards and the wide range of communications software available for the Linux operating system for tight synchronisation.
Multiple systems can be configured together to increase channel count by using dedicated high speed digital I/O.
The Dt100 system is supplied to customers with full source code under GPL, including an open source Linux driver, giving the end-user assurance of full control of system configuration
