As the UK supplier of Lifeline batteries into ambulances services we recently undertook investigations with a leading and top performing service regarding their performance. We found that the Lifeline GPL-31T batteries last a minimum of 3 years between replacements.
We know that ambulances are tough applications for batteries – unpredictable discharge and charge regimes are the norm with paramedics understandably concerned with other issues around battery care.
According to David Claxton, DMS technologies’ Marketing Manager “We specialise in batteries for tough and extreme environments and, although not unexpected, even we were a little surprised by the strong performance of the Lifeline product in such a demanding and essential application”.
3 year performance means that the services using Lifeline only actually change the batteries once. They are installed by the converter, replaced 3+ years later, and then recycled when the vehicle reaches end of life at around 6 years.
If your batteries aren’t lasting 3 years then please get in touch on 01794 525400. We know that in the public sector a balance between CAPEX and OPEX is key and believe Lifeline can really deliver cost savings.
