A chemically treated and heat-sensitive direct thermal label blackens under the thermal printhead to produce your printed label. Ink, toner, and ribbon are not used in direct thermal label printers. In comparison to inkjet, laser, impact, and thermal transfer printers, thermal labels are more durable, easy to use, and cost less to produce.
