Turns ratio testing is a widely used and standardized procedure performed on all types of transformers, both in the factory and on-site. It involves measuring and comparing the applied and induced voltages on both sides of the transformer. Another key diagnostic method, often carried out alongside the turns ratio test, is the excitation current test, which helps to identify potential issues.
