Thursday 13th October 2016 Concrete is the most widely used material, by volume, in the modern world. It is used twice as much as any other material in the construction sector. The pioneering builders of Ancient Rome discovered how to cast rudimentary concrete products for constructing tunnels, roads, aqueducts and other infrastructure projects. But how do you go about labelling this difficult material? This is the first post in our series looking at labels for difficult surfaces. Today UK construction contributes over £100bn and accounts for 6.5% of the global construction sector. Despite a recent contraction of 0.7% in Q2, the UK construction sector is still regarded as robust.
