Glass Textile WallcoveringsEasy Hanging Tips for Painters and Decorators Hanging glass textile wallcovering presents no problems for the professional painter and decorator. Surfaces must first be treated so they are clean, smooth, even, firm and stable. All Glasstex patterns are 1 metre in width, roll length depends on pattern chosen.Wall surfaces must not be cross lined1. Roll the Solvite Super High Performance or Beeline Medium Grade Adhesive onto the wall.2. Cut off the Glasstex in lengths using a sharp knife and straight edge. Measure the height of the wall + 10cm. Apply the Glasstex at the ceiling and press down. Make sure that the first length hangs vertically - it can also be fixed straight from the roll. Hang the Glasstex with a butt joint and apply it with the horizontal pattern matching threads, thread - to thread. Press well onto the surface with a plastic or steel spatula.3. Trim neatly at the ceiling and floor with a sharp knife4. Roll the paint on when the Glasstex has dried. A long-handled roller makes the job easier. Two applications give that wall a decorative and durable finish. In order to comply with the Glasstex Fire-Retardant System, only Solvite Super High Performance Adhesive or Beeline Medium Grade Adhesive MUST be used to apply the Glasstex Wallcoverings. Use of any other adhesive will render the system void and we would be unable to issue fire certificates
