Mean Well have introduced the new series of low profile enclosed type switching power supply with single output and PFC function ~ RSP-500 series (500W), to make this product line more complete that covers are diverse range of wattages (75W - 3000W). By reducing the length of original SP-480 series, RSP-500 series are 22.1% smaller in size and up to 8% higher in working efficiency compare to the corresponding models. The -30~+70℃ operating temperature range is even wider than the -20~+60℃ range of SP-480 series. Featuring with high efficiency and 1U low profile (40.5mm), RSP-500 series are especially suitable for end users who are looking for economical power supplies with energy-saving and low profile installation features. Featuring with 85~264VAC full range input, RSP-500 series provide 3.3V~48V of various output voltage for selection. The units equip with PFC function and possess up to 90.5% of high efficiency, so they can be cooled by the built-in long life DC fan from -30℃ to +50℃ ambient temperature under full load condition, and even up to +70℃ by suitable derating. Other built-in functions include remote sense, remote ON/OFF control, and fan speed control, as well as protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage and over temperature.
