Ecopac Power introduce their latest DC-DC converter the Mean Well SKM50 series a 50 watt 2” by 1” encapsulated DC-DC converter This 50 watt DC-DC converter has an extremely high power density of 46.3W/in3 and has been developed for system designers and electronic engineers who have space constraints. The SKM50 series is supplied with standard pin assignment making it the smallest 50 watt DC-DC converter available from Mean Well. Designed with up-to date “Active-Clamp” high efficiency circuits the Mean Well SKM50 series has up to 92% of high efficiency and can operate at full load with only free air convection cooling from -40°c to +55°c ambient temperature and even up to +75°c by derating the output load. Manufactured with fully encapsulated packaging and six-sided shield metal case the SKM50 series DC-DC converter features 2:1 wide input range with 1500VDC input and output isolation. Protections include short circuit / overload / input and output over voltage with low ripple noise and built-in remote ON/OFF control. These new Mean Well DC-DC converters comply with CE/FCC Class A requirements without adding extra EMC suppression components, therefore reducing the cost of the units by reducing the requirement for additional EMC suppression components and significantly reducing EMC compatible issues at system level. With a 2 year warranty and a trimming output adjustment of (±10%) suitable applications include industrial control, telecom, distributed power architecture, back-up systems or any applications that may use rechargeable batteries as the power source.
