HUBER+SUHNER IANOS MTP-MTP Conversion ModuleUpgrade existing MTP based backbones to new protocolsHUBER+SUHNER IANOS MTP-MTP Conversion Module enables existing MTP Base 8, 12 or 24 backbone trunks to be converted into alternative Base 8, 12, or 24 connections facilitating an easy upgrade path to new transceiver requirements. For example, two Base 12 trunks can be converted to three Base 8 MTP connectors (40G SR4) or a single Base 24 connector (100G SR10).MTP-MTP Conversion Modules are a single-module design and provide a fast and tool-less installation. They are compatible with all IANOS High Density and Medium Density chassis and are available in Multimode OM3 / OM4 performance with a low insertion loss. Colour coded MTP adapters enable easy identification of the MTP connection.IANOS MTP-MTP Conversion Modules are the preferred conversion method for many operators because MTP jumpers can be used to connect directly from the module to nearby equipment. Generally, the conversion module will have a male connector at the front which allows female to female jumpers to be patched. This makes the management of jumpers easier and prevents any risk of damaging the transceiver with a pinned connector.
