Engineering is at the core of what we provide at eg. With the application of our mechanical expertise we ensure that we complete functional development of products as well as aesthetics. Our mechanical team have extensive experience in designing for assembly and manufacture, as well as with service and obsolescence in mind. We ensure that the products we design are robust and meet their requirements by undertaking extensive analysis and testing. This can include, stress, tolerance and mechanism analysis, supported by proof-of-principle, alpha and beta prototypes. We can also undertake regulatory compliance testing before handing over a final design for manufacture with comprehensive documentation as well as support for CE-marking and FDA approval. Our mechanical engineers have specialist knowledge in the areas of microfluidics (modelling and design), temperature control (modelling and design) and design for the medical device market. We use Solidworks and Pro-Engineer for CAD and Solidworks Simulation for finite elements analysis. All of our work is supported by our quality system, which is fully accredited under ISO13485.
