Much of the extensive Elesa range of standard machine elements are designed around the needs of the UK’s advanced engineering industries through the 5 sectors of Aerospace, Composites, Automotive, Performance Metals and Connected Manufacturing. Elesa meets the needs of these industries for R&D, design, test, production and procurement across the UK’s OEM’s and top tier corporations. The Advanced Engineering Exhibition takes place on 1st and 2nd November at the NEC, Birmingham
Featured on the Elesa stand no. A16 (located in the Automotive Zone) will be their IP65-7 direct dial digital position indicators which include new generation electronics for easy installation and readout. Their IP67 CFSW safety switch and hinge unit is also on display to demonstrate how it can facilitate safe operation of protective panels and doors of control equipment.
These are joined by the Elesa wireless spindle positioning system which facilitates faster and more reliable machine set up by using a wireless connected profile controller. This unit then displays initial set up values for each of up to 36 electronic position indicators. Initiation of a program then simply involves choosing the appropriate menu which will quickly re-set each spindle to its correct start position so that the machine is “good to go”. This process saves a great deal of time and takes out much of the possibility of human error.
A wide range of Elesa levelling feet complement the needs of equipment manufacturers. Many of these are available in stainless steel for heavy duty application and to special designs for example those incorporating vibration damping pads to prolong equipment life, or others for use in bio-hazard areas such as food processing and other hygiene/wash down areas.
This is exemplified by the Elesa LMHD hygienic levelling feet which have mounting holes for rugged adjustable equipment mounting and a design which reduces cleaning work. Since cleaning can be as much as 25% of the production time this leaves more time available for production. There is also less use of resources such as fresh water, energy and cleaning agents, leading to lower total costs.
