Replace equipment prior to performance decline or failure! Review and check systems regularly to minimise failure. As an example one company wanted a pump to be maintained quarterly at an approximate cost of £200. Annual costs £800, by using predictive maintenance the cost of checking the pump and replacing it annually, which would not be required, would be £600.
