Planner and Installation Considerations
Most people who use public washroom facilities tend to overlook the challenges that people with disabilities face while using them. It raises the question of why there aren’t more accessible cubicles and why they can’t be easier to access. More needs to be done to provide facilities for those who require them.
It appears that the Equality Act of 2010 isn’t always followed. Is it the responsibility of the planners or installers to ensure that everything is in order? There needs to be a time when everyone is treated equally regardless of their needs.
There is no excuse for not providing the necessary facilities when there is sufficient space. Nor should they be hidden away in some corner. More needs to be done to ensure that everyone is equal, regardless of their ability.
