Personalisation Process: Crafting Quality Workwear

We take pride in the craftsmanship that goes into our workwear bundles. Primarily, we use two methods to personalise your workwear:

our embroidery machines

Embroidery

A traditional method that’s been around for decades to add logos and designs to clothing. Let’s take a deeper look into our embroidery process:

1.    Digitalising the Logo

The process of embroidery starts by digitalising your logo design. We first convert it into a format that can be easily read by our embroidery machines, this process is very complex and requires great skill a lot of companies use a feature called auto digitise this is a quick and crude way to save time which comprmises quality for this reson we always do this process manually.

2.    Testing the Logo

After the digitalising of the logo, we do rigorous testing to check the quality of the logo and the stitching. This step is really important as it shows us if the logo appears as intended and every detail is captured.

3.    Embroidering the Logo

Once we know that the logo is coming out perfectly, we begin to actually embroider your garments. For some materials, like fleece, we use a backing material to give it the structural support it might need, and stop the threads from sinking into the fabric.

Printing

Along with embroidery, we also offer printing services. Just like embroidery, our printing process is also meticulous so you get the best quality of design that is also long-lasting.

1.    Vectorising the Logo

Before printing, we vectorise your logo. This process involves converting your logo into a vector format. Vector images are resolution-independent, meaning they can be resized without any loss of quality. This step is essential to maintain the clarity and sharpness of your logo, regardless of its size.

2.    Printing the Logo

In this step, we print the vectorised design or logo with our Mimaki CJV130 printer. This high-quality printer is renowned for its precision and color vibrancy. So, you can rest easy knowing your logo is going to be as detailed and sharp.

We only use genuine high-quality inks to ensure the colours do not fade and we have tried and tested many heat transfer vinyl’s unfortunately a lot of these wasn’t up to the standards we expected and came down to one supplier which holds up extremely well.

We also found with some vinyl’s they were very thick and felt like you had cardboard stuck to the garment, the vinyl we use is relatively thin, lasts extremely well and is comfortable to wear.

3.    Picking Out Letters

If your logo or design has letters, then we work on these areas separately. This is to ensure that the final product is clear and free from any imperfections.

4.    Heat Pressing for Durability

After the logo is printed, we use a heat press to apply it to the garment. The heat press process sticks the logo securely and durably to the fabric. This step guarantees that your workwear remains vibrant and professional even after numerous washes and daily wear.

Wash and Care: Preserving Your Workwear

Your workwear bundles are a reflection of your professionalism and brand identity. To make them stand the test of time and keep them looking their best, it’s important to follow a few simple care guidelines. Here’s how you can preserve the quality and appearance of your workwear:

Wash Your Garment Inside Out

The first rule of thumb is to wash your workwear inside out. This simple step helps protect the exterior of the garment, especially if it features embroidery or printing. By keeping the decorated side on the inside, you reduce the risk of it rubbing against other items in the wash.

Wash on a Low Temperature

Maintain the vibrancy of your workwear by washing it in a low-temperature setting. While higher temperatures might be necessary for heavy soiling, most workwear can be effectively cleaned at lower temperatures. This not only conserves energy but also extends the life of your garments.

Do Not Tumble Dry

Tumble drying can be tough on your workwear. The heat and constant motion in the dryer can cause the fabric to wear out more quickly. Instead, let your workwear air dry. Hanging them up or laying them flat will not only protect their design but also save energy in the process.

Iron Inside Out

If your workwear requires ironing, make sure to do it inside out. Ironing directly on the printed or embroidered area can damage the design. By ironing inside out, you can preserve the appearance of your logo or emblem.

Do Not Use Strong Detergent

Strong detergents may contain harsh chemicals that can fade colors and weaken the fabric over time. Opt for a milder, color-preserving detergent to maintain the vibrant look of your workwear.

Film on My Embroidery

If you notice a film on your embroidery after washing, don’t worry; it’s not uncommon. This film is likely a stabiliser used during the embroidery process to prevent the threads from sinking into the fabric. It dissolves during the first wash, leaving your embroidery looking as sharp as ever.
