A Cause for Celebration Who doesn’t love a celebration? Recently, EWFM hit a milestone that was a definite reason to celebrate. And what better way to celebrate than with a bottle of Prosecco, which is quite appropriate timing as on the 13th of August 2022, it’s National Prosecco Day. The history of Prosecco: Prosecco is a sparkling white wine. Its rise to popularity began in the sixteenth century in Trieste, Italy. The people of Trieste didn’t want their ‘Ribolla’, which are Italian white grapes, to be associated with cheap white wines created in other regions of Italy. So, Prosecco was created to be a more upmarket white wine which was still affordable but classier than other wines in Italy. In recent years, Prosecco has become one of the UK’s favourite fizzes. This is due to people finding an alternative to champagne, particularly during the financial collapse in 2008. It then grew in popularity during the COVID lockdowns and also at post-lockdown parties as a cause for celebration. But what was the reason behind the EWFM celebration? 31 in a row: Well, in late July, the EWFM office had SGS come in for their yearly quality audit. Like the past 30 times, we passed it with flying colours, achieving no major or minor non-conformances. Ultimately, this means that the company must comply with the ISO 9001-2015 Quality Standard. The team were overjoyed when we were awarded with our official certification. Our customers can now continue to trust us as a company in a high quality service from start to finish.
