Excel supplied this month one of their new Acufill gear pump filling machines to a major UK manufacturer of PVA glues. Filling from 8ml up to 250ml the customer found the ease of set up and control of the Excel Acufill the reasons for purchasing their first semi automatic filling machine. 1 Description Of Machine The Digi-Fil uses a gear pump concept as a metering device to fill correct amounts of gels or liquids into containers. Each revolution or part revolution of the pump delivers an exact amount of product Into the container. The amount delivered is controlled by an electronic counter. Counting 18 parts per revolution. The dispensed volume can be adjusted from 5 ml to Several litres with an accuracy better than 0.5%. The pump is driven by an electrical a.c .motor. which is controlled by a frequency Inverter and microprocessor. The speed of motor is adjustable from zero to full speed Human interface is achieved using a combined keypad and LCD display configuration. which has bas been designed to allow the user the simplest way to interact with the main Computer. A host of functions are controlled via the keypad and visual display of Program parameters is provided. Various options can be supplied to suit different products and applications. - A flexible impeller can be fitted to handle suspended solids or chunky products. - Peristaltic pump for abrasive products. - Positive-shut-off nozzle for products with low surface tension. - Foot switch. - Nozzle sizes to suit all bottle. - Automation with conveyor and gating system.
