Senior Research Technologist

Our client is seeking a Senior Research Technologist based in Gloucestershire. This is a permanent position with a salary of £41k+ depending on experience. Role and Responsibilities: • Provide a reactor focused corrosion consultancy capability for internal and external customers • Deliver work packages from the development of technical scope through to delivery of customer reports • Contribute to the ongoing development of reactor corrosion capability through interaction with key stakeholders • Develop strategic relationships with new customers to meet business growth targets • Management of multi-disciplinary research programmes • Internal peer review • Supervision of academic research • Preparation of costed proposals Requirements: • Postgraduate qualification in a corrosion related discipline, or relevant experience • In-depth knowledge of aqueous corrosion phenomena • Proven track record in applying your scientific knowledge and experience in the area of corrosion to a range of technical issues • Knowledge of all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle with an emphasis on the operation and decommissioning of nuclear power stations • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Experience in the areas of ion exchange, radiation chemistry, materials irradiation, and/or computer modelling • Knowledge of nuclear regulatory processes • Experience in bid preparation • Membership of Professional Institution Please click on apply or send your CV directly to our team and quote Ref: FT2632 FINTEC recruit specialise in Engineering, Technical, Finance, Legal and Business Support roles for permanent and contract positions, UK and International.
