![emergency evacuation drills](https://images.findtheneedle.co.uk/findtheneedle/products/1145685.jpg)
Most premises must have an emergency evacuation drill twice per year. Residential care homes every month and Schools every term. This must be done without using the lift. This will ensure that everyone can leave the building and go to a place of safety ie the assembly point. This will identify anyone who may be vulnerable or particularly at risk due to mobility issues or hearing or eyesight impairments etc. A PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan) is required if any member of staff required assistance on evacuating the building with the assistance of companions. All drills must be recorded in the Fire Safety Log book.
