An upswing for the Children's hospital
03-11-2017
Sweden's largest charity golf event and FlexLink’s biggest charity project, Barngolfen, was recently held in Gothenburg. This year, almost two million SEK was raised to improve the quality of life for the children at The Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital.
The main event, the golf competition, involved participants from sponsors but also celebrities and golf pro’s. FlexLink has been one of the project’s main sponsors for several years, a project that raises funds to improve the quality of life for the children at The Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital.
"We are happy to see such good results from this year’s Barngolfen. FlexLink is proud for our engagement in Barngolfen, our biggest sponsor event, which is part of the activities we run in the local societies where we operate", comments Mattias Byström, FlexLink’s CEO.
This year the project managed to raise close to two million SEK in addition to voluntary hours, services and goods.
"We would like to thank FlexLink for their engagement as one of our main sponsors. We are very happy with the result this year, which was in level with our ambitions and goals. It’s also very satisfying to see that the level of publicity around the Barngolfen event has been higher than ever before", says Jenny Jenberg, responsible for fundraising and communication at the foundation.
FlexLink’s engagement in Barngolfen started in 2011 and since 2012, FlexLink is one of the main sponsors of the event. FlexLink also contributed with a golf team who ended up at a respectful 7th place out of 31 teams.
