Layer configuration is done accurately and effortless in a mobile device app – requiring no advanced programming skills. Engineering The design of the unit is easy as the FlexLink Design Tool allows drag-and-drop into the line design, and enables a preliminary validation of the capacity with the built-in simulation tool. The design can be easily exported and imported into the FlexLink’s e-commerce portal: the Online Store. Technical characteristics The unit include a roller conveyor which can be positioned from the left, right or in center of the robot. The conveyor is available in fixed lengths of 1 512, 2 117 or 2 722 mm, and the adjustable support legs giving five different conveyor heights; 700, 744, 774, 818 and 862 mm. The electrical cabinet for the conveyor and the robot controller is compact and located in front of the robot in order to free up floor space. It is easy to disassemble the cabinet when relocating the palletizing unit and it has been prepared for customization needs. All electrical connection and air hoists use fast-connectors. The palletizing unit comes in FlexLink’s corporate product colors and includes several updates. The previously red bumpers have been changed to FlexLink’s discrete grey and so is the steel frame for the positioning of pallets. In addition, the fasteners for cables and air hose, from the cabinet to the robot head, are of a new heavy duty, low weight design.
