Supporting children at hospital

Tuesday, September 24th was a big day for the children at Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital in Gothenburg. It was finally time for the inauguration of three new, imaginative rooms for the children. One of the rooms has an underwater theme and is sponsored by FlexLink. The Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital in Gothenburg is the home for many children fighting against sometimes severe diseases. To help the children to a better everyday, the Foundation for Queen Silvia’s Child Hospital is financing healing rooms and activities. FlexLink is the main sponsor for their main fund raising event which this year raised more than 1,5 MSEK (173 000 EUR). The complete renovation and transformation of three rather sterile examination rooms into healing ‘jungle rooms’ is the result of last year’s event. One room was chosen by FlexLink’s employees to become the room of Frida the Fish, with an underwater theme. The money raised in 2013 finances even larger projects to be realized in next year. At a ceremony on Tuesday, September 24th the three new rooms were inaugurated with representatives from the foundation, the hospital and the sponsors.
