PLASMA CUTTING SPARKS FLY AT CEREALS EVENT.

Apparently, we had one the busiest pitches at Cereals 2013, because there were lots of sparks flying from our plasma cutters ! This year, we separated the stand into three plasma cutting areas and set about stimulating the interest of passers with some live cutting demonstrations-we invariably drew a crowd ! We had the Swift-cut CNC plasma cutting shapes out of 8mm mild steel on a water table (This reduces fume). The Hypertherm Powermax 30 (capacity 12mm) dropped into our demo booth & cut sheet metal, with Hypertherm Powermax 45 (capacity 25mm) cutting a rusty digger bucket up front. On day two, as the rains came, we challenged our demonstrator to cut circa 30 mm with the Powermax 45. He somewhat cockily obliged & we recorded the results for all to see !
