Funke Wärmeaustauscher Apparatebau invests in China and Gronau

The Chinese subsidiary of Funke Wärmeaustauscher Apparatebau GmbH, Funke Heat Exchanger Systems, only recently celebrated the inauguration of an additional production hall whose size including the administration part adds up to 8500 m². Plattenpresse This new hall with its modern equipment allows for the production of units with a weight up to 100 t. The extension of the grounds aims at the ongoing fulfillment of growing costumers’ demands. In the presence of key accounts, local business partners and politicians, Funke managing director Bernd Timmermann values highly the success story of the subsidiary which was founded 10 years ago. It is, says Timmermann, a vital part of the Funke-Group and the mutual transfer and exchange between the headquarters and the Chinese subsidiary is exemplary. In his positive assessment of the business in China Timmermann also included the founding of an additional production site in Harbin in northern China last year. Also, in the headquarters in Lower Saxony Funke makes investments. Here for the plate heat exchanger division a new Schuler-press with an embossing force of 2500 t started up. With much higher efficiency this press replaces two dated models and embosses heat exchange plates of smaller sizes up to 0,23 m². Additionally, in the division of shell-and-tube heat exchangers production capacities will be optimized soon with a supplemental production hall, thus enabling the company to react even faster to costumer demands
