When Installing Wooden gates with off-set hinges, this Kit is essential to make the hinge area Safe from entrapment. This arrangement leaves a 25mm hinge gap when the gates are closed, which is filled with a 20mm Cat2 Resisitive Safety Edge. When the gates are in the open position this gap can be quite wide and closes down to the post making it very dangerous. With this system installed, if someone becomes trapped in the closing hinge gap the safety edge would trigger the gate to quickly re-open away from the post.
